Fargo's Peregrine Falcons

April 17, 2007 - From Wick Corwin: Both of the adult peregrines have returned, and their identities have been confirmed.  There were no surprises in this regard.  The male is Dakota Ace, who is starting his eighth season in Fargo.  His mate is Freida, who has been paired with Dakota Ace continuously since 2003.

Normal courtship and mating behavior has been observed.  The first egg was laid on April 13.  We expect hatching to start around May 20, and the young should take their first flights in late June.

The web camera has been reactivated, but we are experiencing many operational glitches.  They are being addressed, and will hopefully be resolved soon.
