Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radicans)

"Leaves of three, let it be" is a common saying that helps you remember to avoid touching this poisonous plant. Poison Ivy plants have reddish to greenish leaves grouped in threes. Some people are more sensitive to this plant than others. One person may roll in a field of poison ivy and not feel the itch, while another person may break into a rash just by brushing the plant with the bare skin. The rash can be treated with calamine lotion.
