Western Chorus Frog (Pseudacris triseriata)

The call of the Western Chorus Frog is similar to the sound that your thumb makes when running it down the teeth of a comb. You will usually hear this frog calling in groups, and when one frog stops calling, the entire "chorus" stops. These frogs are easily recognized by the three stripes down their backs. The frogs can vary in color from brownish to reddish, or even gray or green.
